From today (June 26), the UK retailer has launched its new Tesco Now app offering a one-hour grocery delivery service on up to 20 items.
The 1,000-strong range of products includes everyday essentials like fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy and a whole host of other items.
Orders will be filled in a local store and delivered by moped drivers within the hour. And customers can track their order and get real-time updates on its progress.
Tesco Now is available in certain areas of central London between 8am-11pm on weekdays and 9am-11pm at weekends. NW, EC, SE, SW, WC and a whole host of other postcodes are included.
It costs £7.99 with no minimum spend on each order.
“From forgotten essentials to that crucial final ingredient, Tesco Now can get them to our customers’ doors within the hour,” says Adrian Letts, online managing director at Tesco.
“Shoppers’ needs are changing and we want to offer a range of services that allow them to shop with us in a way that suits their needs. We look forward to hearing what they think of the new service.”
In addition to the one hour delivery, a two hour delivery option is also available, priced at £5.99.
The Tesco Now app is available for download on iOS and Android Devices via the AppStore and Google Play Store.
