More than 100,000 attendees got a chance to view the most creative and alluring fresh fruit and vegetable images at the World Food Photography Awards’ “Corridor of Fame” exhibition during Fruit Attraction in Madrid.
For more than a decade, many industry leaders have seen those images shared online but not actually in person. The Corridor provided them the opportunity to see the amazing work first-hand.
“It was a pleasure to host influencers and media from across Europe, to give them a real taste of the Fruit Attraction experience and share our support and passion for the fresh produce industry,” said Dave Samuels, Brand Director for Tenderstem® Bimi® Broccolini, the headline sponsor. “It was fantastic to bring so many people together to celebrate the Awards.”
Bimi not only helped open the doors at Fruit Attraction but has extended its involvement with the Awards into 2025, by giving a trip to its growing region to one photographer who best captures fresh produce in an image. It is encouraging foodie fans in Spain, Portugal and Germany to share their best food-related photographs on Instagram to win other prizes using hashtags #vegpices (Spain entries), #vegpicpt (Portugal entries) and #vegpicde (German entries).
The World Food Photography Awards are open for entries for 2025. The group has invited amateur and professional photographers “to showcase their creativity and tell the world’s most important food stories through photography.” This year, there are more than 25 categories.
Finalist images will be exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London in May 2025, following the announcement of the winners at the Awards Evening. WFPA entrants will have the chance to take home the top prize of £5,000 (GBP)*. Entries close on Sunday 9th February 2025.
