Some of the biggest names in fresh produce will be headlining the list of exhibitors at Fruit Logistica, which will be held live in Berlin from Feb. 9-11, 2022.

Dole, Fyffes, SanLucar and Zespri will be among the representatives showing off their latest innovations and fruit and vegetable products as the show becomes the latest to provide crucial face-to-face networking opportunities for those in the industry after more than a year of the pandemic.

“The desire for personal encounters at a physical event is immense, especially because it hasn’t been possible for so long,” says Kai Mangelberger, Acting Director of Fruit Logistica. “We know that some companies have hesitated to sign up. But this reticence has continuously decreased because international conference venues, including Berlin, have shown that physical events are possible again. We are very far along in the planning and have sent the placement suggestions to our exhibitors,”

The upcoming show could attract as many exhibitors and attendees as previous shows. Representatives say companies from 68 countries have signed on.

“Over the last 18 months we have learnt that holding international meetings while sitting at the office desk is possible. But we have also learned that nothing can replace the pleasure and the tangibility of holding a vis a vis discussion,” says Rita Biserni, who is in charge of International Marketing at Italian exhibitor Alegra. “We are looking forward to exhibit at FRUIT LOGISTICA as it represents the most complete event in the fruit and vegetables industry worldwide,”

Among the others that plan to be on hand are logistics providers Maersk and Ethihad Cargo, retailer Edeka, machinery and technology businesses Sormac and Greefa, and packaging specialist Euro Pool System from packaging. BioTropic, the Bundesvereinigung der Erzeugerorganisationen Obst und Gemüse (BVEO), Driscoll’s, and Fruit Masters are also expect to attend.

“Finally we can meet again face-to-face at one of the biggest events for fruit and vegetables,” says Bert Haffmans, CEO of Dutch exhibitor Sormac. “We can’t wait to meet our valued partners and new potentials to show the developments we have been working on the last two years!” Fruit Logistica officials say an overview of all exhibitors will be released on its website in November.
