Gearing up for the 1st September launch of its partnership with Ocado, Marks & Spencer announced it has boosted its M&S Food range by more than 750 new products.

The UK retailer is more than giving customers a sneak preview … it is offering hundreds of the items already, with more arriving in the coming weeks.

“One year ago today, we began the joint venture with Ocado so that customers can access the full range of delicious, great quality M&S Food products online,” M&S Food managing director Stuart Machin said. “The team has worked really hard to make this happen and customers can view the existing range of M&S products on the Ocado website as well as hundreds of new ones.

“Our customers can be confident that they will enjoy even better choice and even better value, whether they are shopping in-store or online.”

When the partnership kicks in, more than 6,000 M&S Food products will be available for home delivery through Ocado, according to the retailer. Marks & Spencer says its new products focus on “bigger family pack sizes, a larger range of groceries and household cleaning products and a bigger range of organic products.”

M&S has significantly broadened its family pack sizes to complement its existing range. One of those items is a 450g pack of vegetables, as the chain is adding staple products across a number of categories, including produce, juices and squashes.

M&S says it is also committed to giving consumers a greater range of fruits and veg, dried nuts and dried fruits, which include organic.

Hoping to capitalize on its Cook With M&S range, the retailer is including a vegan-friendly Plant Kitchen range that it says has helped to attract over 500,000 new customers.
